Marcoantonio Pacheco
College of Social and Behavioral Sciences
Marcoantonio is a first-generation Mexican American college student pursuing a bachelor's
degree in political science and a minor in Latin American Studies. Previous jobs have taught him
discipline, teamwork, and composure under pressure, grounding his appreciation for hard work
and community values that have shaped his academic and professional goals.
Through this internship, Marcoantonio hopes to support the Mexican American/Latino
community by helping and advocating for social justice, belonging, and cultural visibility.
Professionally, Marcoantonio hopes this internship will strengthen his understanding of
marginalized groups and humanitarian rights and elevate his understanding of the U.S.-Mexico
border complexes.
Marcoantonio will work at Coalición de Derechos Humanos during the Spring.
