Dr. Stephanie Troutman Robbins (she/her) is a Black feminist scholar, mother of three, and first-generation college student. She is the Department Head of Gender & Women’s Studies at the University of Arizona and she is Associate Professor of Gender and Women’s Studies and English. She is a formally affiliated faculty member in Rhetoric, Composition and the Teaching of English, Africana Studies, the LGBT Institute, Global Studies, and Teaching, Learning & Sociocultural Studies.

Dr. Sonia Colina is Regent’s Professor of Spanish and Director of the National Center for Interpretation at the University of Arizona. Her areas of expertise are Spanish phonology (Optimality Theory, syllable structure) and Translation Studies (translation pedagogy, translation quality and translation in health care).

Dr. Jeremy Garcia (Hopi/Tewa) is Interim Assistant Vice Provost of Native American Initiatives and is an associate professor of Indigenous Education in the Department of Teaching, Learning, and Sociocultural Studies in the College of Education. He is also a co-founding Director of the Indigenous Teacher Education Program (ITEP) at the University.

Dr. Alejandro Nava is a Professor of Religious Studies and Classics at the UArizona. He received his M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Chicago.
He is the author of numerous books, including “Wonder and Exile in the New World,” “In Search of Soul,” and, most recently, “Street Scriptures: Between God and Hip-Hop,” UChicago, 2022.

Sama Alshaibi is Regents Professor of Art at the University of Arizona's School of Art and Director of the Racial Justice Studio at Arizona Arts. An interdisciplinary visual artist, her practice explores the notion of aftermath—the fragmentation and dispossession that violates the individual and a community following the destruction of their social, natural, and built environment. Alshaibi is the 2023 Art Matters' Betty Parsons Fellow, a 2021 Guggenheim Fellow, and a 2024 Rockefeller Foundation Bellagio Center Resident.

Verónica Reyes-Escudero serves as the Katheryne B. Willock Head of Special Collections, at the University of Arizona Libraries. She is a passionate advocate for inclusivity and diversity in libraries and archives. Verónica is co-Principal Investigator (co-PI) of the Mellon Foundation Funded Digital Borderlands in the Classroom project and co-PI of the Ford Foundation Funded Reclaiming the Border Narrative Archival Partner grant.
