El Intercambio Symposia will facilitate transnational and cross-regional dialogue and scholarly collaboration by assisting scholars to gather across the border and share ideas in the fields of the arts and humanities. It will take shape over the course of two years as, at the end of year one, one regional gathering, in the following year several hosted speaker seminars scattered throughout the academic calendar, all leading up to an international symposium on border studies to take place at the end of the two-year project span.
