The Confluencenter for Creative Inquiry and the W.A. Franke Honors College invites you to join the presentation Voices Across Cultures: Foreign-Born Faculty, Identity, and Teaching, an engaging conversation exploring how international faculty navigate teaching across diverse cultural and educational contexts.
Through research findings and personal reflections, the conversation will examine how sociocultural identities influence teaching practices, classroom experiences, and connections across cultures.
The event will feature Dr. Nadia Alvarez Mexia, Principal Investigator; Veronica Rodriguez, UCATT Multimedia Specialist, Photographer, and Studio Manager; and Gabriella (Gabi) Arroyo, Undergraduate Research Collaborator. Together, they will share research and perspectives that invite attendees to embark on both an intellectual and a personal exploration of identity, culture, and education.
Students, faculty, staff, and community members are invited to attend and join the conversation. Light refreshments will be provided.
