ORP-Sponsored Campuswide Undergraduate Student-Initaited Original Research Program

Attention Undergraduate Students!

Do you have an original research question you'd like to explore? A burning question regarding:

  • How we, as humans, structure ourselves within society
  • How certain genes express themselves
  • The history of Tucson murals
  • Students’ basic needs on campus
  • Community art groups
  • Greenspaces and architecture around Tucson
  • Stable isotopes
  • Baroque artist rivalries
  • Language acquisition
  • Or anything else you can think of?

The ORP-Sponsored Campuswide Undergraduate Student-Initaited Original Research Program is pleased to continue their new initiative to provide awards to undergraduates across all campus colleges for original, innovative student-generated research projects.

10-12 awardees per year will be competitively selected by a cross-campus multidisciplinary committee to receive $1,000-$1,500 each to be used for stipend/ salary, travel, supplies, equipment and/or other costs. This award may be supplemented by additional funds if promising progress is made. A Student Forum will be held in the Fall to report progress.

Download the application form with specific instructions and submit it by email to: msrp@surgery.arizona.edu

The deadline to apply for this funding is March 2nd, 2026
