After some necessary reorganization due to the onset of COVID-19, Confluencenter is now accepting applications for the Mellon-Fronteridades Graduate Fellowship program. This program aims to support current UArizona graduate students to carry out interdisciplinary research projects and creative activities focused on the U.S.-Mexico border.  More specifically, the program will support projects seeking to advance our understanding of the narratives, experiences, knowledges, histories, performances, spaces and heritages that shape and are shaped by the U.S.-Mexico borderlands.

The goal of this program is to foster and promote scholarship and creative activities that explore, analyze, and elevate the lived experiences and cultural resources of this region. This scholarship should create new ways for understanding border dynamics, and ultimately promote positive impact, in Arizona-Sonora border communities.

Full details and application for this opportunity can be found on the Confluencenter website. Applications are due November 11th, 2020.
