As you may all know, Confluencenter for Creative Inquiry has a lot going on this year and is seeking an individual who will enthusiastically take ownership of projects as requested and see them through to timely conclusion in the position of Program Coordinator (UA Internal Only). They will be a self-starter who takes initiative to master new skills and content areas in order to continually improve in the position. We are looking for someone who can contribute to a team environment, who enjoys working with diverse people, who is willing to learn new tools and techniques, and who is able to maintain professionalism while under pressure. The Program Coordinator reports to the Director of the Confluencenter for Creative Inquiry and works closely with the Confluencenter team to carry out the center’s mission of promoting innovative, interdisciplinary research, and community engagement.
The person who fills this position will be responsible for planning and managing the Confluencenter’s existing events and programs. To successfully fulfill the job duties and responsibilities, the person who fills this position must be able to communicate, interact, and network with individuals from different UA colleges, departments, and units; faculty, staff, and students; deans, and directors; and other UA Partners who support the Confluencenter. This person should be familiar with the UA and have the knowledge and/or an understanding of university systems and practices, interdisciplinary scholarship, and collaborative research. The position requires excellent planning and organizational skills; strong interpersonal and communication skills; outstanding writing, editing, and grammar skills; and the ability to work as a team player and meet tight deadlines. This position requires working some evening and weekend events.
