Emma joined the Confluencenter as Events and Programs Coordinator in October, 2017, following a stint at Global Programs of the UA College of Law. She leads university and Tucson-community events and programming, supports strategic development, and coordinates external grants and proposals for Center projects. She previously worked in the field of International Development, which has brought her from leading workshops in Northern Ireland to founding an agribusiness incubator in Senegal and launching a Children’s Rights mobile app for the Syrian refugee diaspora. Emma enjoys travel, reading, learning new things and exploring the desert on horse, bike and foot. She has an Honors BA in Literary Arts from Brown University, with a personal focus in the interdisciplinary Gastroanthropology: Food and Culture, and an MA in Peacebuilding and Conflict Transformation with a concentration in Sustainable Development.
