During the current academic year, the Confluencenter will suspend the competition for Faculty Collaboration Grant awards.
The Confluencenter is engaged in a strategic planning process for phase 2 of operations that will commence in the fall of 2018. We will have more information by July 1, 2018.
The Faculty Collaboration Grant competition is being modified and will follow the Confluencenter’s Innovation Farm model going forward. Award funding will promote larger collaborative efforts by requiring “working groups” of at least four faculty to facilitate seed projects over a longer period of time.
There will be a new deadline in March 2017 for proposal submission. Please see the Innovation Farm page for more information.
Faculty Collaboration Grants are seed grants for creative and interdisciplinary research projects that can be used as examples or pilot projects for external funding. Faculty from the Colleges of Fine Arts, Humanities and Social and Behavioral Sciences can apply for these grants if they have creative, collaborative and interdisciplinary research to pursue. Projects should result in outcomes enabling faculty to apply for external funding, which will increase the impact and visibility of creative research at the University of Arizona. These grants are one-time awards, and applicants should design projects that can be completed during one academic year.
